Obituary for Patricia C. Leete

Patricia C. Leete, age 81, of Clintonville, WI, passed away peacefully with her son by her side on Saturday, November 2, 2019, in Tomahawk. Pat was born on February 21, 1938, in Moline, IL, to the late Rollin and Mary (Wynkoop) Hanson.

Pat graduated from United Township High School in East Moline. After high school, she was married and lovingly raised her son, Todd. She later moved to Wisconsin. Pat enjoyed the simple things in life. Laughter and a genuine smile, she always brought more to the table than what she left with. Pat was an excellent cook, card player and friend. She loved crocheting, gardening, fishing, storytelling, and an occasional trip to the casino. She will be remembered and greatly missed.

Survivors include her son, Todd Leete, of Tomahawk.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Rollin and Mary.

In accordance with Pat’s wishes, no formal services will be held.

The Dash Poem
By Linda Ellis

I read of a man who stood to speak at the funeral of a friend. He referred to the dates on their tombstone from the beginning…to the end.

He noted that first came the date of birth and spoke of the following date with tears, but he said what mattered most of all was the dash between those years.

For that dash represents all the time that they spent alive on earth. And now only those who loved them know what that little line is worth.

For it matters not, how much we own, the cars…the house…the cash. What matters is how we live and love and how we spend our dash.
