Obituary for Lloyd Isaacson

Lloyd Isaacson, age 86, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2019, at home.  He was born June 9, 1932, in Milwaukee, WI, to the late Nels and Lilian (Goll) Isaacson.  Lloyd was married to Helen Huebner on May 18, 1954; she passed away in 2018.

Lloyd was raised in Cedarburg, WI, and was a graduate of Cedarburg High School.  After graduation, he enlisted in the United States Navy serving his country from 1951 to 1955 during the Korean War. 

Lloyd and Helen had a love for travel and adventure.  He was able to visit every state in the United States throughout his life.  Lloyd obtained his pilot’s license in 1982.  He enjoyed woodworking, polka music, and campfires in his firepit where he shared stories with his family and friends.  Lloyd had a very engaging personality and had friends wherever he went.

Survivors include 2 Sons, Scott Isaacson, of Tomahawk, and Shawn Isaacson, of Bloomington, MN; 2 Daughters, Barbara (Steven) Wanninger, of Victoria, MN, and Brenda (Steven) Alseth, of Cologne, MN; 1 Brother, Kenneth Isaacson, of Minnesota; 2 Sisters-in-Law, Bertha Surges, and Marilyn Zulka; 5 Grandchildren, Nichole (Ross) Kragness, Tiffany (Randy) Johnson, Angela (Luke) Dziengel, Jessica McMahon, and Cassie Faye.  Lloyd is further survived by 4 Great-Grandchildren, Andrew Kragness, Alexander Johnson, Lauren Johnson, and Natalie Dziengel. 

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Nels and Lilian; his Wife, Helen Isaacson; 2 Sisters, Jean Isaacson, and Patsy Schoen. 

A Memorial Gathering will be held at a later date and will be announced at that time.  Interment will take place at Fort Snelling National Cemetery in Minneapolis, MN.
