Obituary for Jeffrey A. Wilner

Jeffrey A. Wilner, age 72, of Arbor Vitae, WI, passed away on Friday, January 24, 2020, at Tomahawk Health Services. Jeff was born December 26, 1947, in Bloomington-Normal, IL, to the late Wesley and Mary Wilner. He was a 1966 graduate of Grayslake High School in Grayslake, IL.

Upon graduation, Jeff joined the United States Navy during the Vietnam War. While in the Navy, he played the trumpet in the United States Navy Band. Jeff was married to Brenda Ballard in August of 1984; she passed away on December 24, 2005. Jeff lived in Seattle, WA, from 2005 to 2010. He was married to Monica Bedregal in 2007; she survives. Jeff and Monica lived in Bolivia for a period of time in 2010. In 2011, he moved to Seattle by his son, Jason. From 2011 to 2015 he traveled extensively throughout the United States while staying in Puerto Rico during the winter months. Jeff moved to Arbor Vitae, WI, in 2015. He worked at the Shell Station in Minocqua and was adored by the patrons of the store.

Jeff enjoyed reading, fishing, playing the trumpet, and woodworking. He also enjoyed nature and spending time in the woods.

Survivors include his Wife, Monica B. Wilner, of Seattle; 

His Son, Jason (Christina) Wilner, of Duvall, WA;

2 Brothers, Doug (Jane) Wilner, of Sacramento, CA, and Garrett Wilner, of Arbor Vitae.  

He was preceded in death by his Parents, Wesley and Mary Wilner, and his Wife, Brenda.
