Obituary for Alice L. Froehlich

Alice L. Froehlich, age 83, of Tomahawk, WI, passed away on Thursday, August 22, 2019, at Riverview Health Services. Alice was born December 19, 1935, in Milwaukee, WI, to the late William and Ida (Peters) Froehlich.

Alice grew up and attended high school in the Milwaukee area. After high school, she worked at a candy factory. She was married to Eugene Antczak when she was just 19 and lovingly raised 4 children; Eugene passed away in 1968. She was married to Robert Matchie in 1972. Alice later worked at the Dutchland Dairy Restaurant and was a caregiver to many children in her home. She moved to Tomahawk in 1986 where she worked at Ames Mink Farm and Nelson’s Deli. Alice enjoyed crocheting and spending time with her family. She had a heart of gold who loved helping others and making others smile.

Survivor include her Children, Nancy Antczak, Michael Antczak, and Paul Antczak; 9 Grandchildren, John, James, Aaron, Kathie, Brittie, Tyler, Joey, Shawn, and Chance; 5 Great-Grandchildren, Maycie, Liam, Fiona, Estella, and Xander.

She was preceded in death by her Parents, William and Ida; her First Husband, Eugene Antczak; her Second Husband, Robert Matchie; her Children, Judith Antczak, and Lynn Matchie; Siblings, Florence, Arthur, Evelyn, Ruth, Margaret, Marion, William, Earl, Betty, and Delores.

In accordance with Alice’s wishes, no formal services will be held.
